Growing your presence online involves more than simply running ads. Creating blog content is one of the most effective ways to help you get your name out there. Let’s explore the benefits of blogging!


A commonly overlooked aspect of blog content is the fact that you can link to it on your social media accounts. Not only does this provide you with content for social media posts, but it can also help bring your followers to your website. It’s also worth noting that posting blog content on social media is a great way to get your audience to share your posts. Although it can’t be guaranteed, there’s always the possibility that your shared post goes viral.


Driving traffic to your website is often more complex than it sounds. Blog content can help people find you on their own while using a search engine. This is partly facilitated by including specific keywords that your audience is searching online. Of course, the keywords you focus on will highly depend on the product/service that you offer. These keywords can also be used as the foundation for your blog content.


There’s plenty to be said about the benefits you can experience from establishing yourself as an authority. By providing information that offers your audience something of value, they’ll begin to hold your brand in higher esteem. In context, this could involve offering an expert opinion on the current conditions of your industry. Or, you could offer a guide that helps them get started with something they might otherwise have difficulty with. Regardless of what you choose to provide, it will play a large role in building trust with your audience. Over time, this can lead to increased engagement with your content, and it can even lead to an increased number of sales.


As your blog grows, so will your presence on the Internet. Having more content available for users to encounter will especially increase the chances that they make it to your site. This is particularly true if your blog includes a diverse range of topics. While you may not see a surge in traffic within the first month, you’ll be laying the foundation for long-term results by prioritizing blog content. As your ranking on Google begins to climb, it will be easier for your new blog posts to rank highly, as well. You can think of individual blog posts as seeds that will eventually grow into a widespread network of content. At some point, you may even find yourself in a situation where most of your inbound traffic comes from your blog. This will allow you to expand your marketing efforts, try out different tactics, etc.


You don’t always need to set up a landing page in order to convert your leads. Blog posts are great ways to do so, as you can include relevant information about your offer as well as a call to action button at the end of the post. It’s important to note that not all of your leads will convert through your blog posts. However, it can provide you with an additional avenue when it comes to lead conversion in addition to your landing pages. At the very least, your blog content will provide the other benefits shared earlier (shareable social media content, establish authority, etc.).
